Size is 8.1 x 10.5 inches, 2 written pages in one sheet (front and verso), folds, fading ink but still clearly visible, some stains, in overall very good condition.
In this letter, Caruso sent his condolences to his uncle for the death of his aunt and also expressed "the fear of not being able to satisfy the public makes me sick and many times I wish for eternal rest" -a premonition of the accident he would suffer 3 months later of which he eventually died.
