Super star Italian tenor (1873-1921), acclaimed at the major opera houses of Europe and America, for his interpretations in a wide variety of roles from the Italian and French repertoires. Additionally, he made approximately 260 commercially released recordings from 1902 to 1920.
Beautiful painted portrait of him in unidentified role (possibly Riccardo in Verdi's Ballo in Maschera), signed by him to the bottom right of the image, dated in 1916. Size is 4.75 x 8.25 inches, solid cardboard, slight paper loss at far edges not affecting image and signature and mounting traces on verso, otherwise in very good condition.Â
