Inscribed by Scriabin to Princess de Brancovan (1847-1923), a prominent figure in Parisian society, her house was a gathering place for music and poetry artists. Ralouka or Rachel de Brancovan was a talented pianist herself, Ignaz Paderewski dedicated to her his Polish Fantasy Op. 19 and other piano works.
