Tosca - World Premiere Playbill 1900
Original playbill announcing the world premiere of Tosca! January 14th, 1900, Teatro Costanzi, Rome.Â
After delays due to political unrest, the premiere took place at Teatro Costanzi with a stellar cast. This is a very rare announcement playbill for the world premiere of one of today´s most popular operas. One page, 6.8 x 9.6 inches, very small loss of paper over the lower right corner, something was written on ink on verso over the top margin, that can be seen through, otherwise in excellent condition.
This is the only playbill of Tosca´s world premiere that we have ever seen, and probably will see. Very rare.
