Austrian violinist who moved to the United States in the 1930s, he toured Europe and South America as well as the U.S. as both violin virtuoso and conductor. He became active with several local performing groups in Texas, began to teach at universities, founded the San Angelo Symphony Orchestra, perhaps best known for establishing the San Antonio Chamber Music Society in 1943.
