Danish tenor (1868-1931), particularly known in his time for his performances of Wagnerian repertoire and other heroic tenor roles. 

Lot of 4 unsigned postcard photographs of him in the role of the Prince from the 1900 world premiere performances at the Vienna State Opera of Alexander von Zemlinsky's fairy tale opera Es War Einmal, conducted by Gustav Mahler and co-starring Selma Kurz as the Princess (shown in one of the photos). Photos are 3.5 x 5.25 inches in very good condition. Not sold separately.
