Scheidemantel, Carl - Cabinet Photograph as Kurwenal in Tristan und Isolde

German baritone (1859-1923), who sang at the most important theaters and Festivals in Europe, including Bayreuth. Scheidemantel created the role of von Faninal in the world premiere of Richard Strauss's Der Rosenkavalier in 1911.
