Philippines Opera Lot

An interesting lot, from the period 1945-1954, with letters, autograph photos and signed programs, belonging to James Nisbett, a US military officer stationed in the Philippines at the end of WWII and after.

Lot includes: a photo signed by bass-baritone Jose Santiago-Font (real name was Jose Mossesgeld Santiago), a photo postcard signed by soprano Angela Agaton, a photo signed by soprano Elsa Oria (the "Singing sweetheart of the Philippines"), a photo signed by Juan Javier, president of the National Opera Company of the Philippines.

Also, two autograph letters signed by his son Manuel Javier, Manager of the same company, a few programs with singer signatures (Catalina Zandueta, Asuncion Loanco Lopez, Pantaleon Lopez, Arrigo Pola, Julio Gonzalez Anguita, Angela Agaton) and two programs signed by the president of the National Opera Juan Javier.

Some unsigned programs and newspaper clips are also included. Various sizes, all in overall good condition.
