Italian baritone (1858-1926), sang throughout Italy and made guest appearances at the Royal Opera Convent Garden, among other theatres. Following his 1910 retirement, became a leading voice teacher, one of his mostĀ prominentĀ pupils was the well known bass Tancredi Pasero.
Very attractive signed vintage photograph mounted onto a cabinet, shown in the title role of Verdi's Falstaff, inscribed in Naples, dated in 1897. Bold handwriting and signature. Photo size is 5.75 x 8.25 inches mounted onto larger cabinet designed by Giulio Rossi, Milan. Total item size is 6.75 x 9.75 inches, one small bullet hole outside of the photo area, otherwise in excellent condition.Ā
