American explorer (1856-1920) and Navy officer who made several expeditions to the Arctic and was best known for claiming to have reached the geographic North Pole with his expedition on April 6, 1909.  Card signed by him, size is 5 x 3.1 inches, in good condition.

ALSO INCLUDED is a small unsigned photo postcard of him with his printed signature.  Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in very good condition.
