Photograph of a scene from a production of Richard Strauss's Der Rosenkavalier, signed and inscribed by the director of that production, Nat Merrill, American stage director and opera director (1927-2008), who was the resident stage director at the Metropolitan Opera from 1956-1985. He also served as  the Artistic Director of Central City Opera in Central City Colorado from 1959-1966 and in 1981 founded Opera Colorado. Stamped on verso by photographer Larry Laszlo, size is 5 x 7 inches, in excellent condition.Â
