MAYHOFF, Maria

Mezzo-soprano whose full name was Maria Mayhoff-Freudenberg, came to the U.S as a refugee from Nazi-occupied Europe in the1930s. Signed photograph, shown as Amneris in Verdi's Aida, inscribed and dated in 1944. Printed signature on front of photographer James Abresch, New York. Size is 8.25 x 10 inches, several creases and bends, otherwise in very good condition.
