French "baryton-martin" i.e. a singer whose tessitura lies between baritone and tenor (1768-1837), who later taught singing at the "Conservatoire de Musique" of Paris, from 1825 to 1837. Created some 15 roles in operas by various composers including Nicholas Dalayrak, Andre Gretry and Etienne Mehul. 

Autograph letter signed, 1 page written in French, dated in 1826, sold untranslated. Size of each page is 5 x 7.75 inches, small crease on top right and tear on empty back pages, otherwise in very good condition. r
