American writer (1835-1910), humorist, entrepreneur, publisher and lecturer, called "The Father of American literature" by William Faulkner. His novels include The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. 

Fantastic cabinet photo double signed on front and verso (each time as both Samuel Clemens and his pen name Mark Twain, totaling 4 signatures!), shown young, with a short sentiment on front ("Yours Truly") as well as on verso ("With great pleasure"), a photo by Brady´s National Photographic Portrait galleries, New York - Washington. Size is 4.25 x 6.5 inches, in excellent condition.
