Tristano e Isotta Signed Score

Full score for voice and piano, signed by Maria Callas. This is her personal copy, used to study.

Maria Callas only sang this opera (main soprano role of Isolde) very early in her career (a total of just 12 times, between 1947 and 1950), in Italian. Isolde was also her debut role at Teatro La Fenice, on December 30th, 1947.

Score has markings in red and blue crayon by conductor Tulio Serafin (some words match his handwriting), in pink color by Callas, same color used for the signature on page 1, there are also some pencil markings by her, and a few more in thick pencil/black crayon, probably by Serafin.Ā

Bound with MMC initials on the spine (her initials while married), indicating this was made on or after 1949. A score published by G. Ricordi, Milan, 453 printed pages, 7.5 x 10.5 inches, in excellent condition.

See scans - Not all pages are scanned, many are marked by Serafin only.
