Beautiful autograph letter in English signed by the star soprano with the letterhead of her residence in Paris addressed to his godfather Leonidas Lantzounis to whom she confided her most intimate feelings in her last years of life. In this letter, the Greek soprano mentions a just-ended affair with tenor Giuseppe Di Stefano, among other issues.
The letter is dated October 2, 1976 -less than a year before her death. This letter is mentioned in one of her biographies "Maria Callas: The Woman Behind the Legend" by Arianna Stassinopoulos (1981) on page 345.
