King of France (1638-1715), also known as The Sun King, between 1643 and 1715, was his reign of 72 years and 110 days the longest of any sovereign in history.
Document in French (sold with a partial translation) signed by him in 1685 to his violinist Jacques Laquieze giving him a place to build at Versailles. The document is beautifully mounted floating on a mat with photo corners and has multiple abbreviations and legal terms about taxes. Size is 13 x 9.75 inches, Total mat size is 18 x 15 inches, minor cracks, folds, in overall excellent condition.
