Collection of 10 signed letters from friends and contemporaries of the great star Swedish soprano Jenny Lind (1820-1887), known as the "Swedish Nightingale", one of the biggest opera stars of the 19th century. 

These letters discuss her musical career, include numerous personal anecdotes and include reports of her performances. They are written in a wide variety of languages including French and German (sold untranslated) and are dated between the 1840s and 1880s. Sizes range from 5 x 7.75 inches to 6 x 9 inches, most are around 6 x 8.5 inches, very well preserved in good condition. Fascinating historical items, not sold separately.
