Lablache, Luigi - Set of 2 Autograph Letters Signed

Famous Italian-born bass (1794-1858), who created the title role in Don Pasquale (opera by Donizetti) in 1843 and was well known throughout Europe for performing at important theatres.

Set of two Autograph letters signed, each 2 pages, written in French, and sold untranslated, one dated in 1848, the other in 1849. These 2 letters are clasped together, with each page 4.75 x 7.25 inches in size. A few small bullet holes and some mounting traces on back (blank) page, otherwise in very good condition. Not sold separately.
