Famous Italian-born bass (1794-1858), who created the title role in Don Pasquale (opera by Donizetti) in 1843 and was well known throughout Europe for performing at important theatres.
Autograph note signed, 1 page written in French, sold untranslated. Size is 4.75 x 7.5 inches, in very good condition. Also included: a very attractive unsigned caricature of him shown in role (this contains a printed signature, not hand-written). Size is 5.25 x 9 inches, in excellent condition. Not sold separately.Â
