Russian baritone (1845-1920), vintage historic signed photo, shown in title role of Tchaikovsky's Mazeppa from the world premiere performance at the Bolshoi, Moscow, dated in 1884. Signature and inscription on verso. Extremely rare item of great historic value! Size is 4.5 x 6.5 inches, very small bump on top right outside of photo area and some mounting traces on verso, otherwise in excellent condition.
