German composer (1840-1897), and also pianist, one of the most important creators of the Romantic period and in the history of classical music.

Autograph note in German on the blank side of a postcard signed by him to his publisher Fritz Simrock sharing news about his upcoming arrival in town, no date (postal markings indicate April 9, 1880). 

Size is 5.5 x 3.6 inches, light mat burn, minor damage on verso, in overall very good condition.
