Autograph note signed and dated by him in Bougival, France, in 1877. Turgenev purchased a villa in Bougival in 1875 and died there in 1883. Turgenev writes in French to an admirer and adds a short comment about Tolstoi“s newest novel.
This is a note written on an album page that was taken out of the album, size is 7.6 x 7.8 inches, rust over borders, central fold, in excellent condition. Sold with a transcription and a translation.
