American baritone (1913-1993), sang for 25 years at the Metropolitan Opera and after his retirement worked there for 15 more years as Executive Stage Manager. Signed photograph, shown as Amfortas in Wagner's Parsifal, inscribed. Stamped on verso by photographer Louis Melancon, Metropolitan Opera, New York. Size is 8 x 10 inches, small tear on bottom right corner, otherwise in excellent condition.
