American cartoonist (1883-1970), sculptor, author, engineer and inventor. He is best known for his popular cartoons depicting complicated gadgets performing simple tasks in indirect, convoluted ways. Original cartoon on a card, inscribed, with a short sentiment and dated by him in 1959. Size is 4.25 x 3.1 inches, in excellent condition.
