Beautiful letter signed by maestro Verdi in Busseto, dated October 20th, 1852, written in Italian (sold with transcription and translation), addressed to the Italian impresario Vincenzo Jacobacci, about musical matters regarding the upcoming world premiere (on January 19th, 1853) of his opera Il Trovatore, related to the type of voice needed for the role of Ferrando.Ā  Size is 6.9 x 8.8 inches, 1 page, folds, minor rust stains, very clear writing and signatures, in very good condition.

ALSO INCLUDED is a Woodbury-type photograph of the Italian composer, shown young, and mounted on a paper.Ā  Ā Total size is 4.4 x 7.75 inches, in excellent condition.Ā  An ideal item to frame together with the letter.
