Italian tenor (1866-1903), active in the last decade of the nineteenth century, best known for creating the role of Chevalier des Grieux in the original 1893 world premiere production of Puccini's Manon Lescaut.
Signed photo, shown as himself, with his very young daughter, Elsa, who tragically died just prior to his signing of this photo at around 2 or 3 years of age. Photo is signed in her "remembrance", and dated in 1898. Bold handwriting and signature.
