Mario, Giovanni - Signed Photograph 1874

Italian tenor (1810-1883), whose real name was Giovanni Matteo De Candia, and was considered one of the most celebrated singers of his time, lionized by audiences in Paris and London. 

Nice full-body photograph signed by him, dated in Rome, 1874; blind-stamped on verso by photographer G. Ambrosetti, Turin.  Size is 3.6 x 5 inches, trimmed from a larger format, otherwise in very good condition.
