German-born photographer (1878-1972), considered one of the most important portrait and documentary photographers of his time.

Set of 14 original prints from his major publication "Studies from the Russian Ballet" from 1913 (the work comprised originally 15 prints), no original box included. The plates are made of heavy card with mounted rotogravures, 9.5 x 13.8 inches in size, unbound, minor stains and overall aging, but all in overall very good condition. Very rare!
