American composer and music critic (1885-1966), famous for some of his operas that were popular in the 1930s and 1940s.

Black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment; ink-stamped on verso by photographer Editta Sherman. Size is 8 x 10.2 inches, crease over the upper-left corner, in overall very good condition.
