Italian conductor (1874-1971), who conducted at the Hollywood Bowl and served as musical director of the Italian Opera in 1910. He worked with famed opera star Bertha Crawford and had trained to play violin in Bologna. He also conducted with the Warsaw Opera company and worked in the music department on two films: Rio Rita (1929), One Night of Love (1934).
Impressive large photo, signed and inscribed with a brief sentiment, dated in Los Angeles in 1930. Size is 7 x 8.75 inches, very solid cabinet-style backing, small mounting traces on verso, otherwise in excellent condition.Â
