Superstar Italian tenor (1873-1921), signed postcard showing a beautiful landscape with a female painter, his sentimental letter and inscription along with signature are on verso, composed in the Bronx, New York, signed only with his last name.
ALSO INCLUDED: 2 centennial stamps issued in 1973 on the 100th anniversary of Caruso's birth. One of the centennial stamps is part of a postcard containing a painted image of him as the Duke in Verdi's Rigoletto, an image that is replicated on an additional stamp, total size of this item is 4 x 5.75 inches. This same image on a stamp also appears on a 3.5 x 6.5 inch envelope which contains both another centennial stamp (without image) and an unsigned photo of Caruso, shown as himself. Each of these are in excellent condition, not sold separately.Â
