Medea Score Signed by Many - Dallas 1958

Wonderful printed score of "Medea" (Cherubini) for voice and piano, signed by many of the singers in the performance of this opera in Dallas, 1958.

Signers include Maria Callas (this is signed by her husband, who made her signature, and not by her hand), who also wrote "Medea, Dallas 1958" under her signature on the title page of this score, John Vickers, conductor Nicola Rescigno, Teresa Berganza (who signed on the front cover), Jon Vickers, Franco Zeffirelli, and many other signatures we could not identify, probably staff members of the opera house, some of the signatures are dated in 1958.

This is a legendary performance of Medea, and there is a great recording available.

There is also a photograph of Zeffirelli with opera staff, and a flower attached to the page opposite to the first page of the score (see scan), but this photograph is dated on verso in 1960.

Score is complete, has repaired and reconstructed covers, 192 pages inside that are in very good condition. Size is 8 x 10.6 inches, comes in a luxurious custom case covered in black cloth. See photographs.
