French tenor (1820-1887), known in his time for his excellent portrayals of Meyerbeer's tenor roles. 

Autograph note signed by him, written in French (sold untranslated), dated in Paris, 1853.  Size is 5.3 x 8.2 inches, 1 page, minor rust stains and folds, otherwise in excellent condition.
