German bass (1887-1965), actor and also manager and director of the Deutsche Oper Berlin between 1935 and 1945.  Large signed photo shown as himself, inscribed and dated in 1929, Berlin.  Total mat size is 10.3 x 14.1 inches (actual photo is 8.9 x 11.3 inches), minor cracks, silvering, otherwise in very good condition
