German conductor (1894-1981), famous for his interpretations of Wagner music, one of the greatest conductors of the 20th century. Signed photo, shown conducting at the 1964 Bayreuth Festival, probably in rehearsal, signature and inscription on verso. Size is 4 x 5.75 inches, in excellent condition.
