
Schroeder, Alvin - Large Signed Photo 1900
German-American cellist (1855-1928), who was the cellist of the famous Kneisel Quartet (1891-1907), performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra (first cellist, 1891-1903), and was also teacher. Schroeder published an important work with studies for cello, in 3 volumes, and other publications.
Superb, extra-large cabinet-style photograph, signed by him, inscribed, with a short sentiment, dated in Philadelphia in January 1900. A photograph by Bushnell, San Francisco, size is 8.3 x 10.75 inches.
The front is in excellent condition, verso has mounting tape damage and dry rest of adhesive. Very rare!
