Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by him, dated April 21, 1867, to a gentleman, concerning a possible collaboration after his publication for the recent Exposition Universelle:

En feuillettant votre publication illustrĂ©e « l’exposition universelle », l’idĂ©e me vient de vous Ă©crire et de vous faire mes offres de services, dans le cas oĂč vous auriez besoin de comptes-rendus touchant la musique Ă  l’exposition. C’est surtout au moment de grands Festivals et des concerts historiques qu’il appartiendra Ă  votre intĂ©ressante publication de ne pas dĂ©laisser un art vraiment universel
”. Size is 5.4 x 8.4 inches, 2 written pages in one sheet (front and back), creases, folds, embossed letterhead, in very good condition.
