German tenor (1831-1917), associated with the music of Wagner, and creator of the role of Siegmund in the first complete performance of Der Ring des Nibelungen in Bayreuth in 1876. 

Fantastic Carte-de-Visite of Niemann by Reichard & Lindner (Berlin), signed by the tenor. Size is 2.1 x 4.2 inches, ink-markings on verso, in overall very good condition.
