Lot of six autograph letters in French (untranslated) signed by him, addressed to the journalist Monsieur Campan, to the director of OpĂ©ra Comique Ămile Perrin (1814-1903), the theater critic Charles Deulin (1827-1877), the librettist Thomas Sauvage (1794-1877) and mostly concern arrangements for meetings, theater seats, and private matters.
We report an extract as a sample, concerning his opera âLâEau merveilleuseâ (1839) : ââŠMes rĂ©pĂ©titions avancent, mais [Jacques] FĂ©rĂ©ol et moi dĂ©sirerons que vous y v⊠aujourdâhui Ă 1 h (âŠ) Jâai perdu les paroles de lâair de Tartaglia, aurez vous la complaisance de me la donner si vous vous en souvenezâŠâ.Â
