French tenor (1861-1933), creator of the roles of Nicias and Araquil in Massenet's "Thaïs" and "La Navarraise" respectively.

Fantastic black-and-white cabinet photograph by Benque (Paris) signed by the tenor, shown probably as Otello in Verdi's opera, dated 1905.  Size is 4.3 x 6.5 inches, in excellent condition.
